Cake Tiramisu Recipe
We have a recipe for those who wonder the version of tiramisu which is made with cake. Here are the ingredients and preperation of this version of tiramisu which will leave a perfect taste in your mouth.

For the cake
- 4 eggs
- 1 water cup of sugar
- 2 table spoons of cacao
- 1 water cup of flour
- 1/2 package of baking powder
- 1 package vanilla
For the cream
- 3 water cups of milk
- 2 table spoons of starch
- 1 table spoon of flour
- 1 egg yolk
- 5 table spoons of sugar
- 400 grams Kaanlar Mascarpone Cheese (it can be mild cream cheese also)
- 1 dessert spoon of vanilla
For moistening the cake
- Hot water a little more than 1/2 water cup
- 1.5 dessert spoons of granulated coffee
- 1 table spoon of sugar
For topping: Cacao
How to make tiramisu?
- First of all, prepare the cream. In order to do that, add starch, flour and sugar to the pot and stir them. Add egg yolk and milk and mix them with a mixer. Turn the heat on and stir continuously to cook the cream and then close the pot with cover and let it to cold.
- For the cake, whip the egg and sugar until the mixture becomes white. Add sifted flour, cacao, vanillia and baking powder and then, by the help of a silicon spatula or wooden spoon, mix them from bottom to top.
- Place the dough into a round tray at the diameter of 26 cm or into a rectangular tray at the same size. Hit the tray hardly to a firm ground so that all the air bubbles are released. Put it into the oven which is not pre-heated and adjust the oven to 200 degrees.
- When the cake starts to swell, reduce the heat to 160 degrees and, approximately after 15 minutes, do the toothpick test and take the sponge cake out of the oven.
- After resting the sponge cake for 5 minutes cut the edges with a knife. Then turn upside down the cake on a cotton cloth. Cover it and let it to cold. Meanwhil, add granulated coffe and sugar to the water which is a little more than 1/2 water cup, stir it and let it to warm.
- Add Kaanlar Mascarpone Cheese or mild cream cheese to the cooled down cream and whip it for 2 minutes with a mixer.
- Cut the cooled down sponge cake with a long knife or rope to the half. Place the first half on a tray and the put the other half into an adjusted cake circle and then moisten all over the cake with the coffee mixture.
- Spread the half of the cream onto the moistened cake piece and place the other half of the cake onto the cream.
- Moisten the second cake piece with the remaining coffee mixture. Spread the remaining cream onto the top of the cake. You can also cover the sides of the cake with cream if you desire. Lastly, by the help of a sifter, dust the cacao onto the cake, rest the cake fror at least 2-3 hours and serve it by slicing.
